Updated information about the History and Genealogy Expo in Queensland is now HERE.
This is about family history research in Queensland, Australia. There are articles about sources, problem-solving research techniques, interesting items at Qld State Archives and elsewhere, and specific individuals (some of whom are mentioned in very unexpected sources). Explore the options in the tabs below, in the sidebar and at the bottom of the page, and visit my main Web site.

Hi Judy, I hope one day you will be able to venture down to the Central Coast of even Sydney NSW, and not so far away.

Hello Angelina. Thanks for your interest. I have given talks in Sydney on several occasions, and I will probably do so again, so keep an eye on the lecture programme run by the Society of Australian Genealogists. I will be speaking at Coffs Harbour later this year (details have yet to be finalised). I am willing to do seminars anywhere in eastern Australia, and public libraries or genealogical societies are welcome to contact me to discuss my speaker's fees and travelling costs.
DeleteRe the History and Genealogy Expo in Queensland on June 25th-27th: some people have told me that they are confused by Unlock the Past's emails and/or Web pages. For an explanation of the difference between 'Expo admission tickets' and 'Gold tickets for unlimited entry to the main talks', please see the update on http://qld-genealogy.blogspot.com.
